The Last of the California Shots

Wrapping up the California posts, I thought I would start off with an odd few.

Atascadero is kind of a neat place, but it is likely most noteworthy for the state mental hospital.  Housing violent, severely mentally-ill, male patients, this facility finds itself in the news more times that it would like.  Interestingly, the Atascadero State Hospital was the model for the Pescadero Mental Hospital in which Linda Hamilton’s character finds herself incarcerated in the Movie, Terminator 2.  Hubby and I stopped to grab a quick shot of the sign.

No Terminators in evidence this day.

The smaller signs lining the fence-line were quite a bit more interesting.  I wonder if people hunting the inmates is really a problem?

The most dangerous game?

On to prettier things…
